  Great port area, short walking distance from where the ships dock. Very close to archeological sites, restaurants, and shops.

  As part of the Viking cruise we visited Cartagena. Lovely city to walk around. Enjoyed the day there.

  Best marina in the south east. The city of Cartagena is the place to overwinter.

  Port is worth seeing but don't bother going to the yacht club because although they have a sign saying anyone can go into the bar and restaurant. Try doing just that for a drink. We tried and yes you in the door only to be met by a glass door that would only open with a pass. We seemed to be in a waiter area so we asked if we could go in. No ! Patrons only we were told but they would serve us at this waiter area which was full of glasses and plates. So we saw some unlaid tables in the resturant part to our right. We sat down, only to be told we could sit there if we were having a meal or if we were patrons. Needless to say we left. And went to the lovely bar above the theatre overlooking the harbour.
